It has been for me, the aps-c sensor captures more than enough information for the shooting you want to do. The a6000 Flickr group has many examples of the capabilities of this terrific camera.

Yes, I believe so. I came from a full frame DSLR and am very happy with the image quality. Plus, the camera and 16-50 kit lens will fit in a jacket pocket. Unbelievable.
