Questions & Answers (164)
Q: Is this camera fast enough for indoor basketball? (10 answers)
A: This camera has a sports feature, which changes the shutter speed to capture fast movements. Took several images at a hockey game and was able to capture the players entire movement while shooting- A: I would recommend the sony for multiple reasons. Its cheaper, mirrorless, has more capabilities, and is an all around better camera in my opinion. And you can get a lens adapter and put just about any lens, old or new, from any brand, on the sony a6000. I bought it amd couldnt be happier. Another tip: try to wait for someone to return one, so you get the open box discount, I got the option with the extra 55-210mm lens for the same price as the camera alone because of the open box discount.
Q: what is the overall quatlity of the 2 kit lenses that come with this? (2 answers)
A: I was skeptical about this kit lens at first but after seeing what it can do! I was impressed!- A: I'm not sure how long the battery will last, but I took 154 pictures (most with flash) over a period of 6 hours, and the battery still had a lot of juice in it.
- A: Naja, it should work. Depending on what camera mount the lens was made for, you would need an adapter from that, to the camera. For example, if the lens is for a Canon EF mount, you would need an EF to NEX adapter. Almost any lens can be adapted to this camera. One issue is that if your lens is a modern auto focusing and image stabilized lens, the adapters are a bit expensive, $150 or more. If you have an old film lens, however, the adapters run $15-20. These would be completely manual of course.
- A: Hi! Yes. When this product detects and shoots faces, macro shooting subjects or subjects that are tracked by [Lock-on AF], the product automatically trims the image into an appropriate composition, and then saves it. Both the original and the trimmed images are saved. The trimmed image is recorded in the same size as the original image size. -Anthony
- A: I have had no issues of any sort with this Sony outfit. My experience so far is totally satisfactory !
- A: The shutterspeed with this camera is incredibly faster which makes taking quick pictures a lot easier. The pictures are more accurate to what you're seeing through the viewfinder as well. The lenses are great and I think the big lense will do well, the packaging even includes a hood for it. The only factor that might make a difference in taking action photos is zooming in and out with the lense body. Even though it's like any other dslr where you turn the lense, it's a more graceful process which makes things feel slower. There is also an alternative toggle mechanism for zooming if you don't like the action of turning the lense. I recommend going into a store and playing with one to get a feel for it.
