What would cause it to stop working on batteries (even fresh new ones don't work)? Even made sure not to have cord plugged in while trying to run on battery. Works fine with AC but not very portable. What is warranty term? null

I read many complaints o this problem in the customer reviews. I only use mine on 120 ac. Have had no problems,( YET)
