A:AnswerIt's probably because the Sony is going to your preout. Once you connect a preout it diverts the signal to only the preout rca. I'd say your only option is to use speaker wire for both and don't plug anything in to the preout.
A:AnswerIt's not a car speaker. It needs to be plugged into a 120vac wall outlet, not a car's 12v power.
Best Buy has some car subwoofer enclosures, including some small ones meant to fit under the seat. Check those out.
A:AnswerNo. The sub woofer is part of a surround sound setup. You all ready have a built in sub woofer in the sound bar. The sound bar is a single product designed to replace a typical home theatre setup.

A:AnswerHi Jrock, No, this is a subwoofer and doesn't have a party mode or party chain feature. It also is not compatible with the SHAKE-X10. It is designed for receivers. You may refer to this link for more information:

A:AnswerThe below answer is incorrect. This subwoofer will work with the CMT-SBT100. It does not require a sub out signal. It will use the speaker connections. Simply connect the receiver speaker outs to the sub speaker ins. The sub has outputs for the satellite speakers. I have this set exact setup and it works.
A:AnswerHi George, Yes, this unit should work with STR-K840P. You may connect the LINE IN jack and the amplifier’s jack using the supplied audio connecting cord. Thanks! ^Ron
