• It has a W/T lever near the shutter button for motorzed zoom, or you can use the ring on the lens. (Use both so the motor does most of the work and then you fine tune with the ring). In settings you can switch the inner and outer lens rings to choose which is zoom and which is focus

• Both engage the motor. you can set the motor to fas or slow zoom, but even on fast zoom (zoom assist), it's not as fast as a manual zoom lens.
