“Received a Sony ICF-C707 clock radio as gift about 4 yrs ago, didn't need it, put in the closet, forgot about it, just found it, opened it up, plugged it in. It flashes "AM 12:00" manual says consult local Sony dealer. Help!”

the little backup battery is too low in charge. Replace it. The back page of the instructions has the troubleshooting info Good luck,
