My previous clocked died and searched for a suitable replacement. My previous had a CD player and stereo speakers. I didn't use or need the CD player. The features that are important are AM/FM and multi-alarm features. This clock had those features. The radio reception is good even on AM. The sound is a little disappointed. It's a single small speaker so much different than the stereo sound I had been accustomed. The size and display are nice. Doesn't take up much real estate and the display offers different brightness. Weekend and weekday alarms are possible along with different options to wake up to. The snooze button is in a good location and large enough to hit without having to search or look at it. Alarms allow for adjustment of the loudness of tones and radio as well as the lengths of snoozes. This alarm clock serves its purpose I prefer an alarm clock over using smartphone or other options and radio reception is an important feature and this was an acceptable option after searching various brands and models. It does not have any smart phone (or more specifically iPhone) dock options although you can connect a phone to the clock through a cable. The speaker on the phone is much better than in this clock. I would prefer a better speaker and sound and the price was a little high for what I expected but many lower prices models doesn't offer an AM radio option only FM. More expensive come more with iPhone docking options than Android so models that cater to iPhones do not appeal to me. Depending on the features that are important to you this little clock is acceptable.

What I love: - slim model that doesn't take up much space - nature sounds - multiple alarms What I don't love: - alarm reset button is hard to find (I end up turning the alarm off and back on to reset) - blue light (blue lights can interfere with sleep patterns, should've been an orange backlight) - too bright (even the dimmed selection is too bright for me)

The natures sounds are nice, can't go wrong with dual alarms and battery back up. The set setting function is a plus but the best feature is the fact that you can turn the light off completely if lights bother you. A few seconds before the alarm goes off the light comes on and most mornings that's enough to wake me up! Love this clock. I shopped and compared for about 8 months until I finally decided on this model. Very happy.

the dial is very easy to read, it is a cool color of blue and makes a nice night light, there so many things I like about this clock, the nature sounds are nice, but I also really like the temperture reading I never had a clock that did that before, they could improve the sound quality that is the only thing I can think of that isn't five stars, it is a nice compact size so it doesn't take up much room, you get a lot for your money with this alarm clock, very easy to use as well.

Size is perfect for the night table. Sound quality is decent for the price. I use the dimmer setting for the backlight, which I find adequate for reading the time in the daylight and not too bright in the dark (which some people have complained about). The alarm programming is much more involved - many more steps - than on my previous clock radio, but that is because you get a chance to control more options, such as picking the station and volume to wake up to. (My previous clock radio would use whatever station and volume the radio was currently set to.) I like being able to play my phone's music through radio, even though the speaker isn't high fidelity. If somebody from Sony is listening, I would suggest considering the following in future releases of the product: 1) Make the radio "off" button stand out more. Now when I want to turn the radio off without looking at it, I can't easily locate the off button by feel. Instead, I have to count buttons from one corner of the radio. 2) When programming the alarm, include a shortcut way of ending the programming steps, such as holding down the alarm "set" button for a few seconds since I most often just want to change the alarm time, which is done in the first couple of programming steps. (Or is there already a way of doing this that I'm not aware of.) Note: I would have no trouble recommending this radio as is.

Good radio for bedroom. Easy to program. Small and compact. Good sound and reception.

Sony has been a solid performer in my home for years and this product is no exception! It is very easy to set alarm and the radio has excellent reception. The only minor faults are the alarm volume even at highest does not seem loud enough. Also the actual digits of the time are not bright enough. For our 5 year old as a first alarm clock it does the trick and we are very happy with purchase so far.

Bought this for the nature sounds, I like to fall asleep to them. The light for the display has three brightness settings, off low and high. The off makes the display unreadable and the low is still very bright. I love the multiple alarms and the small size fits in my tiny area. Overall a pretty good alarm clock.

It's a great radio with an alarm. The sleep turn-off time can be set to different times. It works well now but we haven't investigated all of its features yet. We are assuming they will be proven to work well also. The small footprint it has leaves more room for the other items on the bed table!

It's hard finding a good clock radio these days; everything on the market today is an iPhone accessory. This, therefore, was a nice surprise. Auto time set, flexible alarm settings and a big, bright display in a compact package. No Bluetooth, but includes a wired aux input. Oh, and nature sounds that really do help you sleep! A good alarm clock. Enjoying the fact that the display can be dimmed and/or back light turned off. Line in for MP3 player or smart phone is a cool feature. Like having an A/B alarm option. Digital tuner with multiple programmable presets and decent sound for a clock radio. Takes up a small footprint space on my bedside table which is nice. Nature sounds are a plus but nothing special. Some of the buttons have multiple purposes so it can be a little confusing at first but it's fairly easy to get used to.

This clock radio is small so it doesn't take up much space but it has a very good quality sound. It has nice features too such as the clock automatically changing to Daylight Savings Time without you having to manually reset it. Overall it had all the features I wanted for a bedside clock radio at a reasonable cost.

The Sony digital AM/FM alarm clock radio is a very good, compact radio with innovative extras including a thermometer and relaxing "nature sounds". The digital clock/radio is automatically set, the display is great to view from across the bedroom and the adjustable light intensity is very useful at night. The brightest light is like a night light! I love the pre-set stations for effortless station selection, especially when that disgusting and offensive commercial comes on. The lettering on the buttons is challenging for those who require reading glasses but this is necessary to achieve the compact size of the radio. The sound quality is great for the radio size and the price is reasonable. It makes a great gift.

Pretty good dual alarm clock. Nature sounds are really nice and adjustable volume is handy. Auto set after power outage or plugging in first time is awesome. It would be a nice feature if you did have to reset alarm each day, but I am getting use to it.

I read many reviews of alarm clocks before purchasing this one. I wanted a clock which was easy to read and had dual alarms, one for weekdays and one for weekends. It also needed to have a fairly good FM radio to wake up to. This one fit the bill. The only thing I don't like is the blue color of the numbers and the lighter blue background colors. It's also a little to bright for night time, although the dimmer does dim the light, although a bit too much. I've had this alarm for a few weeks now, and it works very well once I mastered setting the alarm. (Honestly, I don't know how they could have made it more difficult. I guess I'm just not technologically oriented.)

Pairs quickly and easily with my iPad. You can run Iradio or Pandora or whatever you want. Good sound, love the portability. The battery seems to run for a long time. Love the size! Could use some more bass, but for size the sound is excellent.

Love the size and also the size of the numbers. It's great if you wear glasses but don't have them on. It's fairly intuitive and it will wake me up. I tend to sleep heavy.

Well made and easy to configure. The different alarm options are nice and I like to use the nature sounds myself. Also nice to have two alarms

I bought this because of the price and it met my needs. Great sound from such little speakers, much better than iHome.

A nice compact AM/FM, dual alarm clock radio. Comes complete with antennas for both AM and FM and has a battery back-up to hold settings - 5 for radio. The dual alarm is perfect for setting weekday and/or weekend alarm times. The only negative is that the display has a limited range of visibility and is too bright. It needs more choices for brightness, maybe a dimmer would work well. It has only a full brightness, low brightness and off choices. A different display, possibly an LED would be better.
