“if the sd card Is not pushed in all the way while taking pictures, are the pictures you thought you took stored internal on the camera? I noticed after I took many pictures the card wasn't pushed in. I finally saw a msg saying no card.”

Hi SonyGirl, No. You should insert the SD card as far as it will go until it clicks into place. The camera does not have internal memory.
