I am currently have a problem with a new controller as well but if I get this will I be able to talk on it with beats solo 3 on the first ps4 because the controller that came with it i can talk but not with the new one null

You should be able to talk on this controller using beats.

I had a problem with this as well and based on the cable that came with the beats it doesn’t work with the new controller. You will need to buy a cable that is compatible or buy a new headset specifically made for PS4

Yea it works with any headphones as long as it’s a 3.5mm jack

Yes you have to change your settings in the playstation audio settings. And put the out audio to the headphones once you plug into the controller

No. I plugged in my Beats Studio 3 and I cannot talk in the party chat.
