Customer Ratings & Reviews

I couldn’t be happier with the DualShock 4 wireless controller for the PS4. The jet-black design looks sleek and classic, and it feels great in the hands with its comfortable grip. The buttons are very responsive, the analog sticks are smooth, and the touchpad adds extra versatility for games that support it. The built-in speaker and light bar make the gameplay experience even more immersive. Battery life is solid, and the wireless connection is seamless with no lag. I’ve used it for hours of gaming sessions without any issues. Overall, it’s durable, dependable, and a must-have for any PlayStation 4 owner. Definitely a 5-star product!

I've owned several of these, this exact version satisfies every need I'd ever have in a game remote, and is essentially perfect. It plays sound directly through the remote speaker, has a long battery life, and the color of the controller's light even changes to any hue of the rainbow if like, your gun in the game is green or pink or something, which is really cool. Not just the boring red and blue p1 and p2 options. I own two of these and if I needed to keep getting replacements, I'd definitely get them through this Best Buy site, price and warranty wise.

This controller is the best controller I've ever used. I use this controller daily and get vwry little stick drift after a year but that doesn't bother me at all since my character is always moving in game but thats besides the point. If you wanna play competitive fps gaming this is definitely a go to since its easy to master the claw style and you can overclock this baby on pc or laptop to half a millisecond delay so basically the input lag is dead serious. Definitely consider this controller for competitive gaming

Sure! Here's a longer and more detailed version of your review: --- I had a great experience purchasing my controller. The buying process was smooth and straightforward, with everything clearly laid out, making it easy to find exactly what I needed. Once it arrived, I was really impressed with the quality — it works perfectly and feels great in my hands. The controls are responsive, and it's made a noticeable difference in my gaming experience. What really gives me peace of mind is the warranty that came with it. It shows the company stands behind their product, and that kind of support is important to me as a customer. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality controller. --- Let me know if you'd like to make it more casual, add specific features you liked, or mention the brand!

Own several different controllers as a PC gamer to meet my gaming needs. This includes a catch-all Xbox Wireless Controller, an 8bitdo Sn30 Pro+ for retro gaming, and even a PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller for some of the latest titles. But as it pertains to Rocket League? The DualShock 4 is the only option for me after hundreds of hours of grinding the game. This light-weight controller fits perfectly and comfortably in my hands, with its cozy and familiar layout over the years. The only reason for replacement is the eventual wear-and-tear that leads to stick drift, which can eventually happens to any/all game controllers. If it’s compatible with your setup - you can’t go wrong with this trusty controller!

I like this DualShock 4 wireless controller. The Jet Black color is nice. The touch pad is a great addition as well. There’s a few games that I found great use with it. I need to go to YouTube and find more games that use the touchpad to get a better experience with it but it’s mostly underutilized in most games that I’ve played on the PlayStation 4 which includes the most popular games that released on the PlayStation console. The internal speaker is ok. I enjoy listening to it while I played “Tomb Raider- Definitive Edition”. It sounds very clear. There were no static issues that I was hearing while dialogue was being played. The R1,R2,L1,L2 buttons respond well but the R1 button became sticky before. The directional buttons are ok. The analog sticks are ok too but they can get a bit slippery at times. I’m not sure if they’re any dead zones but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did because my controller is old. The triangle, square, X, and circle buttons are isn’t sticking and I had this controller for years. Maybe because I’m the only one using it and not button mashing very hard until the buttons don’t input correctly anymore. The PS, share and option buttons are still functioning properly and they are not sticking either. The light bar is a good add on and I light watching it glow at night. I haven’t played too many games that really use the motion sensor feature. I did use it to hike the ball in Madden and I also used it in some action video game(s) that I don’t recall the name(s). I’ve used the stereo headset jack to play my games in private and the sound was good and your experience may be based on the type of headphones you own. I’m still not sure if I like this DualShock 4 controller more than the DualSense wireless controller that’s for the PS5 because I need to play more games with them both.

4th one i have gotten over the years. great quality, great feel. Had a charge out of the box. all around good buy. versatile color options.

I can always rely on Best Buy to come in clutch. I had my last controller for several years before the stick drift started to be come unfixable. It was so easy to get a new one shipped to my house the next day and it works buttery smooth again.

I bought the DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 – Jet Black from Best Buy, and it’s hands down the best controller I’ve ever used. The build quality is outstanding—it feels solid, comfortable, and responsive even after hours of gameplay. The analog sticks are incredibly accurate, and the buttons have just the right amount of resistance. The touchpad and light bar add great functionality, and I really appreciate the built-in speaker and headphone jack. Whether I’m playing action-packed games or story-driven adventures, this controller delivers smooth, lag-free performance every time. The Jet Black color looks sleek and modern, and pairing it with my PS4 was fast and easy. If you’re looking for a dependable, high-quality controller, I highly recommend this one.

I needed a new controller for my sons ps4 since he got the ps5 for Christmas...Now i use it this controller holds a excellent charge and i havent had any issues thus far....Great product!!!

I love it. Its useful and has a good grip. I needed a new one so i can avoid drift shifting and plan to use it for a long time. I did not use it yet because of other games, but when i do use it, it is very useful for any future games i download.

Great controller. Comfortable and pairs flawlessly. Got it to play on my galaxy s21 ultra & Nintendo switch (yes, with an adapter it pairs flawlessly to a Nintendo switch). I'm just happy it wasn't a gift bc it arrived in a box that was completely demolished & it was not a shipping-carrier issue, it was a best buy issue.

I love Best Buy products you can go wrong with them. I needed another controller my original one was starting to drift a lot (can’t have that) especially playing NBA 2k. So I browsed around and decided to purchase from bestbuy.com. The controller is great smooth like my original one that came with the console first time I played it. So whatever the reason your needs are, needing one, two, or more it’s worth it.

New controller works great! seems like the colorful controllers always have issues so i got standard black and im impressed with how long the battery last on a new one. After a few years the original controller loses battery power so thats why i go this

Works just as the ones that come with a PS4 when bought. I wouldn't expect any different though because it's the same official Sony controller. Fully charged last quite a few hours of play time & we bought a charging dock to charge both controllers at the same time. Takes about 1-2 hours to fully charge both controllers if the controllers are completely dead. Less time if they're not fully dead. Great product!

I ordered two of these a while back for my old PS4 just in case they stop printing soon and they work great no issues since testing them. I got mine open box and they looked brand so I'm extremely satisfied. They were shipped well too no broken boxes and no scuffs on them either. Highly recommend picking some up if you own a PS4.

DualShock is the best for pc gaming. I’ve tried PlayStation 5 controller but I honestly prefer the DualShock 4. Got with protection plan

Durable and easy to hold. Works on PC Steam as well.

The DualShock 4 is still one of the best controllers out there. It's super comfortable to hold, even during long gaming sessions. The buttons and joysticks feel smooth and responsive, and the touchpad adds a nice extra feature. Battery life is decent, and I love that it charges easily with a USB cable. Highly recommended for any PS4 gamer!

I use this to play a number of games on my PC. The DualShock is small and may require one to adjust to the size (I have large hands). It is easy to charge as many probably have at least 2 micro-usb cables and it can be charged via a laptop or desktop computer. I am quite pleased with the DualShock and recommend it to anyone who desires the flexibility to play any game on their PC.
