• That is how my son's broke, the side that is supposed to bend. He has an average size head and light use.

• Unfortunately, they have not changed the construction of the headset, but I do recommend spending the extra $20 or so for the warranty at checkout as they will replace them in the future if necessary. I have had this headset for 3 years now and have tried others, for me the golds work and feel the best!
