A:AnswerYes the sides come off because you can customize the color of the headset. Just make sure you line them back up perfectly. They can click back in without being perfectly straight and they will come back out easily. Once I lined mine back up they have not popped out since.

I made the mistake of not doing so when I saw them at that price and then had to wait a good 3 months or so before I saw them go back down from 99.99. I missed the sale by like 3 days and they wouldn't give me the 79.99 price. I have multiple headsets so I could do with waiting.
