I tried recording at a Halloween party using the 1080p@60fps XAVC-S format. The picture was grainy but was nicely in focus. Recording a live band indoors without supplemental lighting is a big challenge. You could try using 1080p@30fps that might let the camera use a slower shutter speed and clear up the graininess. This camera has very clear video in bright lighting conditions.
