Regarding warranty: I bought an open-box-excellent-condition HDR-CX405 handycam. It does not have built-in harddrive so I also bought large-storage micro SD cards. This handycam is SOOO lightweight :) My Handycam I'd had since 2007 (which was Built in hard drive) was heavy and lasted me a good 10 yrs. So this new SD card version seems wonderful. So lightweight I just love it. Don't drop it though as I bet it would crack :( Seems to work great :) The paperwork in the Box says "limited warranty 1 year). I bought a 3-year $70 geek squad protection JUST IN CASE. HOpe this helps :)
