“I made some vids with this but when I put the SD card to playback on my phone, I cant hear the sound but can still see the video. Did I record in wrong format or is my phone outdated, I have a Note 4.”

In order for you to get the best quality, you need to get a 32 or 64 SD card that will allow you to record and get the best quality and don't forget to set your speed.
