“We currently use a laptop to record live on FB Live. Will this camera allow us to use a cord or something tied to the laptop, to do the same recording for FB Live? We are simply attempting to get a better quality of video on FB than the laptop. Thanks.”

Hi, you would need a third party video capture device that have an HDMI input. Please make sure the feature CTRL for HDMI on the camcorder is turned off to output clean HDMI signal to the capture device.
