“I have a older Sony Bravia TV and will hook up the Sony HT-S350 2.1 sound bar using the optical connection on the TV, can I control the volume with my Direct TV remote hooked up this way or must I use the ARC/HDMI port?”

Hi John, I will assume you can use your Direct remote. I have a Sony Bravia TV and all three remotes, (TV, Roku and soundbar) work on the volume and on and off. Ron
