So far I love it. The subwoofer being wireless makes it great for having less chords lying around the entertainment center and the soundbar itself has Bluetooth capabilities which are nice. The sound itself is pretty great and once you tinker around with the remote you can get a cinema quality sound experience. Doesn’t quite reach surround sound heights, but for the price it’s a step above whatever is coming out your tv speakers

As a $200 (sale price) sound bar, it packs a punch. Great for action movies or musicals, kids love the Greatest Showman and the music scenes really pop. A little disappointed that it didn’t come with an HDMI cable but it does come with an optical cable so it’s ready to go, however, you’ll need to use the remote that comes with the unit. Once it’s hooked up an HDMI cable, you can use the tvs remote. I recommend it to those that are on a budget and have a average living room.
Ps. It fits nicely under my 65” Sony tv with the factory stand.

Normally I am someone who believes that a same brand sound bar is going to pair best with the same brand television. That’s not even a concern with a product of this caliber. I am so happy that I purchased this, especially since it came with the subwoofer. Super easy to use, excellent sound quality, great price. I only wish that it indicated on the sound at itself what the volume was set to.

Hi Logicvscake, You've made an excellent choice! We're very pleased to hear you appreciate the ease of use, exceptional sound quality, and great price of your new Sony soundbar. Although there is no exact volume level display on this unit, you can determine the volume level by checking the light indicator. Please refer to the following:
If the multi CH indicator flashes once, it means the volume level is set to low (1 - 20). If the multi CH and TV indicator flashes once, it means the volume level is set to medium (21 - 40) And if the multi CH, TV, and Bluetooth indicator flashes once, it means the volume level is set to high (41 - 49).
You’re now able to enjoy deeper, richer bass and immersive surround sound. The wireless subwoofer, 320W total output, and HDMI ARC one-cable connection make it perfect for your essential home theater. Simple to set-up and beautiful to look at, this soundbar brings S-Force PRO Front Surround technology to your content for a cinematic experience. Thanks for choosing Sony! -Sam

This soundbar is perfect for $200. Sound is pretty good and gets plenty loud. The sub is very good. Plenty of bass for the epic movies.
Don't be confused, this soundbar is not going to keep up with true 5.1 surround, but for $200 it works great in my basement with my 65" X900F. Way better than the crappy rear firing TV speakers.
One thing I could never find in my research was how it actually fit sitting in front of the X900F. It fits perfectly snugly under it.

This soundbar and wireless subwoofer offers great sound quality and deep bass. The packaging was easy to open and everything well secured inside. The quick set-up guide that came with the instruction manual was easy to follow. I did find that the optical cable that came with the system was a bit short for my set-up as I am in the process of securing and hiding all of my cables under my wall-mounted television. I will have to eventually purchase a longer optical cable. The wireless subwoofer connected automatically once plugged in. The soundbar is low profile and looks great. No big buttons or logos; very clean, nice look.
Once everything was plugged in, operation was easy. I initially found it difficult to determine what mode the soundbar was in as the only indicators are three LED lights on the front. I had to look through the manual multiple times in order to see what the lights meant. As I have used it more, I have gotten more comfortable with the various modes and their corresponding light indicators. I was initially disappointed in the amount of bass put out by the wireless subwoofer. Once I placed the sub behind the couch and facing a wall, I found that it filled the room and offered a great rumble. This is most apparent when watching action movies. I found myself much more immersed in scenes where the sound design was used to full effect. I never got that level of immersion though my television speakers.
The Bluetooth capability is a nice addition and easy to use. We had company over and I used it to play all genres of music. The sound was crystal clear and the bass filled the entire room.
Overall, this product is easy to set-up, use and offers great sound. Highly recommended.

Hi Treyhunna, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your HT-S350! We're glad you like the audio clarity of your new Sony soundbar. If you're having a very low-level bass soundfrom the subwoofer, press SW+ on the remote control to increase the subwoofer volume, make sure that the status indicator on the subwoofer is lit in green or orange and move the subwoofer to a location near the Bar Speaker. I settled on this 230W sound bar to pair with my Sony Bravia TV. At 20% volume, it fills 500 sq. ft. space with full range music. Bluetooth connectivity with devices to play music is just a bonus. Separate remote has settings for music, sports, movies, video games, news, etc.

It's super loud! I can't believe how loud it is. But you also could turn down the Bluetooth woofer (bass) so you only hear the voice. Sony Rocks! It has lots of different features and settings i enjoy changing. Like it has a night mode so its not so loud. I bought it for myself on black Friday. It sits in front of the Samsung TV nicely great for gaming.

I love this item. It sounds perfect and the subwoofer has great bass to it. I have it in my living. I kept my subwoofer off the floor to not disturb with vibration. It actually sounds better elevated. The best part it's only 2 wires you need. The hdmi that doesn't come with it and the wire that connects to the TV. That's all you need. It was no problem getting it to work properly. Thank you Sony.

We just purchased a TCL 65” 4k TV and wanted speakers that were better than the built in ones for watching movies. I have some hearing issues and if I want to watch without using hearing aids I use a portable Bluetooth speaker and set it close to me, this has worked great for a number of years but if someone else “my wife” wants to watch with me and uses the built in speakers of the TV there’s just a millisecond or two between the Bluetooth speaker and built in ones where there’s a slight echo. I saw this new model Sony sound bar and decided to give it a try.
First Impressions:
I was really surprised by the weight of the package, it was right around 30lbs, everything inside was very well packed and protected. The speaker, bass unit, remote, batteries, optical cable and manuals were all inside the box. The sound bar itself was pretty light in comparison to the bass unit. Everything is very well constructed, sturdy and in a matte black finish.
Setting up:
We have a new TCL 6 series 65” TV “which is a great TV by the way”, to hook this up to, and according to the manual HDMI port 3 is ARC compliant. The speaker doesn’t come with a HDMI cable but luckily I have quite a few extras lying around. If your TV has a HDMI port that shows it’s ARC compliant then that’s the only cable you should need to hook this up. Otherwise you will have to use the supplied optical cable or Bluetooth connection. There are no other audio inputs on this speaker. The bass box only has a power cable, no other inputs are available and it connected wirelessly to the main sound bar without a problem.
You may have to go into your TVs menus and adjust the speaker controls, with this TCL TV I had to go into the, “Settings – System – Control other devices CEC” then turn on ARC HDMI 3, system audio control and system standby. After that the TVs remote controlled the volume to the sound bar and everything worked properly.
Sound settings and quality:
There are a few custom sound control settings on the Sony remote “Sports, Voice, NEWS, Game, etc.”, I’ve mainly been using the standard setting at the moment. There is a difference between all the different settings but with my hearing I can’t tell a lot between them, my wife can tell though and said either the standard or cinema settings were good for her.
The sound quality itself is very good, much better than the built in speakers and a lot louder. The bass coming out of the separate bass box is really good, not too boomy, and you can adjust the amount of bass on the included remote control. We watched Avengers Infinity War and the sound was very clear, voices were very easy for me to understand, and during fight scenes the bass was enough that you could feel it. The speakers support Dolby Digital and you can tell by the clarity of the sounds, music and voices. Our living room is pretty good sized, and filled it with no problem, the speakers were set around 60 so there’s plenty of room to go up from there and they can get way too loud for us “or our neighbors”
Final Thoughts:
If you are looking for a really good sound bar with a separate bass box you should look closely at this one. I’ve tried out cheaper alternatives in the past and those were returned as they didn’t have the sound quality that this Sony does. Price-wise this one is a real bargain compared to some of the others.
It may not have the full 3-D surround effect like some of the very expensive units out there buy we are more than satisfied for the price.
