The sound is very poor. The bass power is insufficient and there are only two small speakers in the front. Turn off the bass. You can't listen to music. Junk product. I really hope that I can return it. Strongly request a return

Hi michael, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your new Soundbar. To ensure optimal performance with the subwoofer, please follow the steps below:

Press SW + on the remote control to increase the subwoofer volume.
Make sure that the status indicator on the subwoofer is lit in green or orange.
Set the night mode to off.
If the input sources contain very little bass sound components (i.e., a TV broadcast), the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Play the built-in demonstration music by following the steps below and check that the sound is output from the subwoofer.
-Press and hold the (TV) button on the Bar Speaker for 5 seconds.
The built-in demonstration music is played.
      -Press the (TV) button again.
The built-in demonstration music is canceled and the Sound Bar returns to the previous status.

There are probably better speakers out there but not for the money. I really love Sony audio equipment. I bought this to replace an ancient budget surround system made by... you guess it; Sony. I just feel the value for money is hard to beat. There are cheaper systems but they don't sound nearly as good. Super easy to setup. Works with Bluetooth too if you want to play some tunes from your phone.

Setup was fairly straightforward but I did have issues getting the HT-S350 to sync with my Sony XBR65X900E TV. After neither the instructions nor a web search turned up a solution, I restarted the process several times and it eventually worked. I don't care for the lack of easily seen function buttons or any type of visible display on this unit. The function buttons are on the top of the unit and are not illuminated. Since the HT-S350 is square and mounted on the wall under the TV, the already very subdued markings virtually disappear and there are no tactile bumps or depressions to indicate where to press. With a new-ish (Dec 2017) Sony TV, Sony soundbar and HDMI ARC, everything should power up and down and function seamlessly but about 10-15% of the time the soundbar fails to power on when the TV is turned on. Not a huge deal and there is a remote for the soundbar but it's annoying to have to find the additional remote or illuminate the soundbar with a phone and guess where to press. If the HT-S350 is sitting on a TV stand or entertainment center, the blocky shape would probably be just fine bus as a wall-mounted unit it looks odd. It juts straight out from the wall whereas my previous Sony soundbar was more of a wedge and appeared much more sleek. That's purely personal preference. My major issue though is with the volume variation. Not so much with DirecTV content but while streaming Netflix, Amazon, etc. the difference between action or other louder scenes and dialog is extreme. I find myself turning the volume up and down multiple times during virtually any streaming session. I've tried multiple settings on both the TV and soundbar and it's still an issue. The last comment is that during these attempted adjustments, there is no display whatsoever on the HT-S350 except for 3 LED's making what setting you're actually on another guessing game. Excellent sound when properly adjusted but can't recommend this one.

Love this SoundBar and Subwoofer, actually bought two of them. Sound quality is great, not a huge music/sound nerd so it fits what I need and like. I personally am not a fan of a lot of base because I feel that it takes away from the sound so this works perfect in balancing it out, but if you want more base you can always raise and lower it on the remote. I wish there was an app that allowed you to control specific details of the bar and subwoofer.

In my prior review, I mentioned that the DVD sound is a lot lower than the normal TV sound. I got this sound bar to connect with Sony DVD player and UHD TV. The sound is AWESOME! I started watching 2001 A Space Odyssey with the TV and DVD only and I could barely hear the intro. Replayed it with the Soundbar and the effect was like hearing it in a regular movie theater. The DVD player also supports streaming services in case I decide to drop cable content for streaming. The disappointing feature of this Soundbar is that the directions do not indicate how to set up the Sony Soundbar with a Sony DVD player. Since the normal TV volume is fine, I ended up connecting the DVD player and Soundbar with an HDMI cable (not supplied) — instead of connecting the DVD player to the TV. . And I connected the DVD player to the TV with the supplied optical cable. (That seems to be a funny name for the cable since I assume the video is going through the HDMI cable (not supplied) from the DVD Player to the TV). In any case, after these connections, everything worked easily, including the WiFi connection from the subwooofer to the rest of the soundbar. Now if I could only figure out how to go streaming, possibly with a small antenna for “free” local channels.

I was basically looking for a good sounding sound bar with a separate subwoofer that matched the Sony television I purchased with it “XBR-65X950G”. I didn't care if it hooked up with Alexa or able to jump through hoops and this one fit the bill nicely. I have a Yamaha sound bar that I’ll give to my son. Upon the easy hookup with the provided optical cable and first listen I was a little disappointed but knew speakers and especially subwoofers need breaking in time and after a few days now sounds great. This sound bar sounds as good as some of the sound bars selling for up to 600 dollars that I've heard at best buy. There is also no sound delay that some people have experienced with other sound bars. The voices are nice and clear and the bass while perhaps not subsonic can get loud and provides great impact to movies, enough to really startle you at times. I've also played concert DVD's and Blue-Ray's and can confirm music sounds good as well. If you’re able to as with any subwoofer you should experiment placing it in different locations in the room to see where it'll sound best where you'll be sitting at. At 279 dollars this is well worth it and a definite best buy at 198 dollars.

Hands down, really good simple surround system. I am a state certified electrician, I started my trade installing car stereos and amplifiers. I bought this system with gift cards that my company pays us for safety. I really needed something to upgrade the tv sound and originally went to best buy for a different brand. I noticed that this particular system stated 320 RMS. which in my trade this means continuous playing not MAX, so please people understand and not confuse max with RMS. My living room is a 12’x12’. My home is roughly 1500’ sq. When playing my tv or music with my Apple TV or even Bluetooth through my phone I can feel the bass and hear it as well in the bedrooms in the back of the home. the remote has an individual subwoofer volume when the bass is up this system sounds like a car audio system. I am very satisfied with the sounds and when having my family movie night my landlord has asked to please turn my tv down. Lol sounds great I recommend to everyone who’s on a budget.

I almost ended up getting an LG system until the salesperson demo'd this soundbar system for us. This thing blew LG out of the water as far as clarity, crispness, and bass. Cranked on max, this thing will make you feel like you're in the theater. Build quality is premium as expected from Sony. Setup was a breeze with my X800G and everything can be controlled with your regular TV remote instead of the remote that comes with it. The bass on the subwoofer is insane and I have to be careful not to crank it up too high because I am almost certain my neighbors can hear it outside. I tested this thing on my 4K copy of the Phantom Menace, and I really felt like I was getting shot at by droidekas! Lol.

Wanted to get sound for a samsung TV. Tried many of the samsung ones in store but I wasnt satisfied with the sounds I found, I thought going with the same brands would probably be best. I found this one and I really liked how it sounded. Made the purchase, set it up, and it sounds so good! It helps the 75" TV seem and sound like we are in the movie theaters. It was extremely easy to set up, easy to navigate, good size remote, good size items, and cannot find a single complaint as of yet. Fully recommend this especially for the price. Can't beat it! Subwoofer and soundbar connect wirelessly, so no visible cables if you can hide the power ones from the back of them to the wall. This Comes with the soundbar, subwoofer, remote and batteries, and optical cable. I almost bought an extra optical cable but the sweet best buy man told me it was included and helped me avoid an unnecessary purchase.

Louder than my last Sony sound bar which at 7 years old finally took a crap out on me. I guess that not too bad for the price and sound quality, anyway I haven't had this one for long but I have put it through its paces with vinyl records, home stereo, tv audio, gaming audio, phone and pc audio and it does not disappoint. Matter fact I am listening to it right now and my record player is in the living room and this sound bar is in the bedroom so yeah I can walk around my house with my phone and use the sound bar and sub anywhere without losing Bluetooth connection. Also it does shake the ground like my last model! Hoping this one they fixed the board that was causing it too short out. Praying this one last at least 10 years instead of 7.

I am very happy with the sound quality of this product. I have a fairly new Sony TV. I just plugged in the power, connected to TV and voila, great sound. This comes with a great manual (much more detailed than the one with my TV) so very easy to set up. I placed the subwoofer across the room about 12 feet away and it provides the sound experience I was looking for. In fact, the sound is so rich that sometimes I think I'm hearing something in another part of the house, then realize it's from the TV. Excellent price for a very nice soundbar system.

Bought this product because of the increasing use of the tv due to quarantine. It’s a great product for a surprisingly decent price. Setup is easy and takes a few minutes. The sound is great, and it has many different settings depending on what you’re watching. You do have to read the manual in order to understand what the blinking lights mean because it doesn’t tell you what setting it’s on otherwise, but it nothing too hard once you learn. Overall, one of the best purchases I made for keeping me entertained during these times
