Hi Gagirl, Thank you for your interest in the HTS350. Yes, you can. There are 2 options to do this. First, you can connect your TV using an HDMI or Optical cable long enough to connect to the soundbar. Second, is via Bluetooth conection. However, your TV needs to be compatible with the soundbar to connect via Bluetooth. Yes it can we hung ours behind my father's chair because he's hard of hearing and it works great for him.
