“My sony tv is not bluetooth compatable therefore I will connect using the supplied cord. However will the subwoffer still work on other side of the room, meaning does the woofer connect to the bar via bluetooth? what actually connects woffer to tv or bar?”

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, it will work. The wireless subwoofer doesn't connect via Bluetooth. It connects via 2.4 GHz frequency to the soundbar. While the Soundbar connects to the TV via Bluetooth connection. Hope this helps! -Sam
