“Hi WE are looking to purchase this soundbar for our 65" Sony Bravia and we have DirectTV. What I want to know is when we turn on the TV with our direct TV remote will the soundbar go on at the same time with this remote & turn sound up and down, etc.”

Not really sure...I have both Firetv and Roku Premiere and they sync up fine when I turn the TV on...It should work if you sync the soundbar during the initial setup..
