“Just picked up a 49inch sony bravia and am looking for a good soundbar. I have a STRDH190 receiver hooked up to speakers in the ceiling. I have yet to connect it to the TV. Will I be able to have sound coming from both the soundbar and receiver?”

Hi JoeS, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, no. The soundbar is not designed to work together with the receiver since they both have similar functions. Also, your Sony TV is not capable of having the sound coming out from both the soundbar and receiver at the same time. If you're going to pair the STRDH190 receiver with your Sony TV, we recommend connecting passive speakers to the receiver. And, if you're going to use the soundbar with the TV, we suggest connecting it directly to the TV via HDMI ARC or optical connection. Hope this helps! -Sam
