Buy the connector harness at best buy for your car. Have an associate look up the right model for your BMW. It will make your stereo convert to the actual BMW plug, so all BMW wires remain intact.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You should be able to do that in any vehicle when installing an aftermarket stereo. There is a wiring harness adapter that you'll want to purchase along with the deck. This should plug directly into the factory harness and allow you to connect your aftermarket wires to it. There is typically an instruction manual telling you which wires to connect to which. Doing this will allow you to be able to unplug the harness adapter from the factory harness at any time and simply plug the stock deck back in, no problem. I believe I added a recommendation for the wiring harness that fits your BMW.
