“Is this the New PS4 model? From my understanding SONY had released PS4 with newer chips and stuff in it. So is this the newer model of the PS4 or no? I have one coming to me and I'm just curious to know.”

So this is the CUH-1200 line where the original was the CUH-1100 line. This Model runs much quieter, uses less energy plus has a smaller motherboard and a better blu-ray player and better memory as well. Also the little slide cover on the top that was glossy is gone for the same regular finish all across the PS4 which I like. But yeah newer components, and it is only offered in the 500GB not the 1TB models. Hope that helps.
