“If I just want to use the headset for watching movies do I still need the camera?”

• The camera is needed to track your movement and where your head is in order to project the screen in the right direction. It's what allows you to say lay down (if you can manage it) and look at the ceiling and still view a perfect cinema mode instead of having to always face forward.
