My phone did not have any signs of wear. It looked and acted brand new upon opening the box and turning it on. Get a screen protector to protect from scratches; the glass is not hardened nor very scratch resistant. Have kept mine looking brand new with slim case and full screen protector found on amazon.

But I would recommend the curved glass to go on top so it actually covers the entire screen, along with a slim case. It's a nice looking phone, shame to cover it up- especially since there don't seem to be too many out there!
