A:AnswerHi Eventreur7, Yes, you can. As long as your speakers are within the nominal impedance rating of 6 to 16 ohms then it should definitely work. -Sam
A:AnswerNot sure what kind of remote you are referring to, but this one comes with a remote that works fine. Also when i power off my direct tv box with the direct tv remote, it powers off the sony receiver as well. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerHi twostep, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this unit has an equalizer function so you can adjust the bass and treble level of your speakers. -Sam
A:AnswerHello, i currently have Bose 201's for surround, Bose's 401 for Front and Bose 501's for surround rear speakers. The sound is incredible and equally distributed. I have a Sony Core Series 10" 115W Subwoofer, sounds amazing and Sony Core Series 4" 2-way center speaker. The surround sound when watching movies is truly amazing with my speaker set up. I started with just the Bose 201's and 501's, with the center speaker and subwoofer, i just purchased the 85 inch Sony 900 tv and found some Bose 401's on ebay for a good price. Again the complete sound of Sony and Bose together is incredible as long as you set it up correct. Hope this helps.
A:Answeryes I am currently awaiting for my klipsh sub to go with this receiver. Im using 12 gauge wires all around.
IM not sure about the canary 42211 cable so I can't help you with that.
A:AnswerHi Mike, Please refer to this link on how you can properly set up your speakers and a subwoofer to the AV Receiver: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4726/890436b47fd2ffcc4003f34dc5f2592c/47269051M.pdf (pages 17-18) -Sam
A:AnswerHi Omuno, Unfortunately, you cannot add a soundbar to an AV receiver. A soundbar is an alternative to an AV receiver and not something you use in conjunction with an AV receiver. Please refer this link to check what kind of speakers you can connect to your AV receiver: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/audio-components-receivers-amplifiers/str-dh790/articles/00205291 -Sam
A:AnswerNot sure on your question if you say if it does turn on yes all electronics does turn on. If you are saying CEC features yes it has 2.1 hdmi with eARC meaning not remote works but also you have full 48gbps bandwidth with lossless audio
A:AnswerI hope this helps, i have Bose 201's 401's and 501's connected to this receive and the sound is amazing, i believe as long as you connect everything correct you will get the sound you want out of your Bose accoustimass 10.
A:AnswerPurchased this devices 4x weeks ago. Any standard (+)/(-) lead subwoofer (the kind with red and white wires exiting the housing) or banana plug sub will work. Or, if you do not have such, this device should be compatible with Bluetooth-enabled wireless subwoofer (although those are more expensive, energy-intensive, and may produce an audio lag).
A:AnswerI don't think so. I actually brought this receiver for home theater purposes. Its the best receiver for my Sony TV and the only way to get good sound was using this receiver.
A:AnswerHi, Customer!

A:AnswerThe receiver I purchased is STRDH790 - Indeed it is 7.2 - if you look at the rear there are two sub-woofer out RCA jacks.
Front, side and rear speaker connections complete the 7.2 specification.
The other Sony receivers are very similar - just shop carefully - my personal one is a 5.2 but looks extremely similar to the 7.2.
I simply did not have a good spot or space for rear speakers. I gifted this one for my brother's birthday.
