QuestionWill this receiver decode AAC5.1 surround? If not, will it reproduce 5.1 surround if I send PCM from my TV optical to receiver? I have an older Sony sdr-dg910 that works great when sending PCM from my TV to the receiver when playing AAC 5.1 audio.

QuestionWhy doesn't my surround right and left speakers work when I set it up for 5.1:2 high speakers. I do not have rear surround speakers. Only front right and left and surround right and left.

- Answer Hi Chuck, The 5.1.2 speaker pattern will only work if you have additional speakers connected to the surround back speaker terminal of the receiver. I would recommend performing an auto-calibration to allow the unit to automatically configure your speaker setup. Hope this helps! -Sam

- Answer Hi RickyD, Yes, it does. When two front speaker systems are connected to the receiver, you can select the front speaker system you want to operate. Each time you press the SPEAKERS button, the unit changes cyclically to "speaker A", "speaker B", "speaker A+B", and "speaker off" options. Hope this helps! - Answer Hi Toolman57, Yes, but you will have to strip the jacket to 10 mm (13/32 in) at each end of the speaker cables to be able to insert it into the speaker terminals. -Sam

- Answer According to you the wattage of your speakers exceeds the wattage of the receiver, so you shouldn’t have a problem using the receiver to it’s full capacity ... still recommend asking an audio professional

QuestionDo I need an amplifier for Zone 2 sound? I was hoping to get bluetooth music out to my deck and set it up as Zone 2. Unfortunately I get hardly any volume which makes Zone 2 pretty worthless.

QuestionCould I replace the receiver portion of my 14-year-old Bose V10 Lifestyle surround sound system with this unit? Appears that the amplifier chips have blown, so no surround sound. It is connected to Spectrum cable and a LG smart TV.
