It's highly recommended because it's excellent at its primary purpose, playing UHD Blu ray discs. Load time is very quick, and it's one of the only players I've seen that supports Dolby Vision. Are you saying it's terrible because of the streaming video apps? This device is a Blu-Ray player first. There are other models that are focused on streaming video, but honestly, you're better off using a Roku or Apple TV or something for streaming video anyway.
