• Hi Kathy, this Bluray player is not capable of downloading/adding applications. If the apps you're looking for are not on the list, they may not be available at the moment. Thanks, -Mark

• You aren't doing anything wrong. The HDHomeRun is only designed for over-the-air broadcasts. It won't get any of the 'cable' content. People talk about 'cutting the cord.' This will get you broadcast TV, but nothing else. For that, you probably need something like SlingTV or DirecTV Now -- both will provide much of the cable content, and you can view it on your TVs or other devices.
