I have used this only a couple of times, and it works great, easy to use and the quality is excellent. I needed a Wi-Fi connectivity in a Blu-Ray player. It has a some apps and so I can connect to YouTube, Netflix and others too. I like the way it projects the visual and audio, as it looks great and sounds great.

This is a great blue ray player! Opened up the box, plugged it in, and presto it works!!!!

Our old units were years old and slow to read DVDs and Blu Ray. These are excellent basic replacement units. I cannot speak to wireless capabilities as we don't use it in our house. The small size is nice too.

I absolutely love this Blue Ray player. I do not have cable TV so this allows me to connect to my WiFi and listen to music stations and watch netflix and other television stations.

good choice for the wife. she has a lot of dvd/blu-ray and uses it quite frequent. I like the small compact size that adding it to all the overwhelming electronics it gives a clean look.

Love the free apps you can play through the DVD player.

I thought it would be to complicated to operate, due to all of it's functional capabilities. I learned how to use the apps and added features with the breeze. Great choice for me and others

We needed a new DVD player when we got our new TV so we purchased the Sony Streaming Wi-fi Built-in Blu-ray Player because the price was right. Love how easy it was to install & operate as well! Could not be happier.

Gave away my bulky Sony Blu-ray player that had a bunch of the theater speakers. In my effort to minimize my household items, I only wanted a small Blu-ray that worked great but took up minimal space in my room. This unit is about 7.25"x 9". This was one of those returned items that was missing a cord from the box. I had the HDMI cord from my other player so it worked out perfectly.

Excellent equipment. The size is perfect and easy to handle.

Opened the box to hook it up to my new TV we bought from Best Buy and there are no buttons to open it or start a movie. It all works with remote. Found NO REMOTE CONTROL

Third unit since initial purchase in April. Best Buy would not take this one back and would not refund my money. On the third one I dealt directly with Sony as Best Buy web site instructed. I returned the unit to Sony and received another unit that had the exact same issues as the previous two. Best Buy told me that I had to deal with Sony again! I do not support vendors that do not support their products or customers. I will no longer shop at Best Buy!

It does not support Amazon Prime. Despite what documentation and website says there is no Amazon prime app and no way to add it. Below is the response I received from Sony support “New BDP-S1700 and BDP-S3700 players with serial number 4000000 or higher were not sold with, and do not include, support for Prime Video.” Minor complaints: 1. I purchased to add web to my older Visio tv. No support for This brand in tv control. 2. Small pause button works for both pause & play. Large play button above it only works for play.

Just what I needed to watch movies and listen my CDs.

Horribly substandard Sony product. I find it hard to believe they even manufactured this Blue Ray player. Don't be fooled by past product trust in the name plate. Ridiculously slow to commands, manual or remote & does not play well with others. Bad interface with LG or Denon. Forget the sale price regardless, it's just a very bad choice.
