Recently purchased this unit on sale after upgrading my living room TV so I am able to play my previous Blu-Ray purchases. Easy set-up and connection to my home Wi-Fi. Though the new TV is a Roku-enabled Smart TV, this player also has a good number of my favorite channels (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Sirius XM, etc) which allows me to switch viewing choices without hitting the Roku home button. The channels include the DVD so maneuvering is easy with the romote. The unit also plays multiple non-Blu-Ray formats including audio CDs and standard DVDs. That's quite a bit of bang for my media buck!

This is my 3rd purchase of this product, excellent quality, great features, easy to set up, easy to use, and great price!

The Sony player is easy to setup and has a great picture! The wifi works well. And, the price is very reasonable. The only reason I withheld the 5th star is because of the pre-loaded apps, which are restrictive. However, the ones that are pre-loaded are excellent. I bought this unit to enable our "dumb" HD Panasonic TV to have access to the internet. This was a much less expensive alternative to buying a new television.

This one works the best so far with my Nighthawk RAX 45 router. I have tried many and they had issues with streaming video. Very laggy. This one is very quick. Audio signal quality while streaming is much better too… even compared to the BDP-BX370. I’ve tested and used dozens of these on the same home theatre setup. This is clear budget winner.

Bought this Blu Ray player because previous one stopped connecting to streaming services. I love how the streaming services are built in and it was super easy to program and connect to our TV. Nice and compact as well.

I was excited to purchase this unit at a sale price but was even More surprised when I found it was on a special sale for $20 less at the store! At first, it seemed to be a little slow in responding but it was related to the remote not being directly in sight of the unit. I'm very pleased with how well this streams Amazon Prime (our Comcast Xfinity box can play Netflix but not Amazon)! The quality is excellent on our 4K TV. The Blue Ray player also works very nicely and ,for the price, we're thrilled so far!

I was looking for a reasonably priced Blu-Ray player that could stream. This one is great! The quality is tremendous for the price, considering i can access you tube, amazon, etc.. Highly recommend!

Nothing fancy, no 3d or 4k. Works flawlessly. WiFi connects easily and steams without issues. Easy to use, and low price. Returned a similar Samsung because of issues - kept turning itself on.

So far this little Blu Ray player is wonderful. It also streams which is cool. I recommend it to anyone looking for an updated system to play not only Blu Ray DVDs but old format DVDs as well. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a HDMI cable. For the price it's a good choice. Thanks Best Buy!

For $60, this isn't a bad choice. It has great picture quality and great sound. It's small and lightweight and does what it's supposed to do. The user interface is a bit slow to load, but once you get an app up and running, it runs smoothly. It may just be my internet/WiFi. I had an issue where it wouldn't load any apps until I turned off fast startup and turned it back on. Seems to be working now though. It also made me re-setup my internet connection after using it for the first time and setting it all up and then turning it off and back on to use again later. Seems to be working now. Overall, a pretty good player for the price and it has tons of apps.

i love the blue ray dvd player its sharp easy to use and clearr it was very inexspensive eapecially since i purchased it in conjunctio with a Geek squad pla d it only cost me $28

I bought this to replace a gaming system as the predominant Netflix and Blu-ray player in my workout area. Easy to set up and has worked well. Good price. No complaints.

This Blu-ray player is small but mighty. It doesn't take up a large footprint for space and is loaded with lots of extras. The built-in streaming apps are nice if you have an older television without them so you can still access your favorites like Netflix or Hulu. There is the ability to also download other apps from their catalog too for the other apps not preloaded. It does have Wi-Fi built-in for connecting to your wireless router to use the streaming apps. If you prefer, there is also a LAN jack located on the back of the unit for a wired connection. There is a USB port located in the front for easy access to plug in an external storage device that may have pictures or video files. Unfortunately, there are no play/pause or skip buttons on the device itself. It only has the power and eject buttons on the unit. All other operations must be done with the remote control. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a Blu-ray player on the lower end of the price spectrum with the added bonus of some pretty nice features.

The blue ray player is easy to install and operate. Within 10 minutes we were steaming Netflix and have the ability to watch Blue ray dvds. Good entertainment piece.

Just works... Well! And you get the Sony name for a ridiculously low price. Sony and Phillips Co-operated on the CD, DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD standards. It shows in how they take advantage of everything the standards allow - such as resuming a Blu-ray title from where you last stopped or paused it. When they pack features into their players. The support for HDR coupled with 4K upscaling made me think I was in the theater while re-watching a bunch of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One quibble - I wish you could disable the 'desktop' interface that allows you to get to streaming options and select to just have the unit function as a disc player if you'd like. Add the reliability that Sony is known for and hopefully this unit will last even longer than the 9 year old Samsung Blu-ray it replaced.

I've been so happy with the purchase of this product. I did not have to invest in an expensive Smart TV to turn my TV into one. I have now all the same options that my friends have on their expensive Smart TV's and now I can enjoy all You-Tube videos for as long as I want. The device has been working great since I installed it, which was very easy and quick. It would be great if I could connect a keyboard so I could search videos faster. This problem is resolved by connecting your smart phone though, but it would be great to control it with the keyboard directly. Good item for the price.

The picture quality, disc load time, reliability and unit navigation is very good. The streaming is a little lagging at times but not bad. For occasional streaming it's great. However, I would not recommend this unit if you're wanting to stream heavily because it might become a bit frustrating. The DVD Disc upscaling picture quality is beautiful and the BluRay Disc picture quality is excellent . The unit is very tiny and it tucks away very nicely. If you're interested in an all around good Blu Ray Player with 1080p resolution output, then I highly recommend this unit.

Works every time no issues. Love that it shuts itself off after a certain amount of inactivity. Quick setup and doesn't take long to get a movie playing. Remote buttons are a little different than I was used to but didn't take long to adjust to. Overall works well. Bought a second one for another room.

For the price, this blue ray player does not only do the work, but produces amazing quality! No issues to report with this one! Worth the price tag!

I've purchased nothing but sony Blu-ray players over the past several years I have not once been disappointed. I've purchased other brands in the past such Samsung and the picture quality was not as good as sony. This one is no exception. It's nice and compact, very easy to navigate through the menu and the apps are very easy to get to. The Wi-Fi also works great.
