Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All I can think of is that you haven't gone into the actual TV settings menu and identified the HDMI port that is connected to your Sony DVD player. Once you do that, you can select "input" on the the TV remote (or the universal remote or the cable remote) and change the input source to the DVD player.
