• My cable box is connected by HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the TV. The Blu-Ray player gets connected directly into the TV with another HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the TV. I do NOT connect the Blu-ray into the cable box and then into the TV. I hope this helps you.
