“I recently tried to watch a BD on my PS3 but it gave me a message saying I have to update my software to play the BD. Will i eventually come across the same problem with this BD player? I don't have access to wifi to update.”

I bought the Sony BDP-S3500 6 months ago and about 3 months after I purchased it, it stopped playing regular DVDs. I have tried everything suggested to me by fellow users and also Sony and nothing has worked. I had to buy a completely different DVD player just to watch Non-Blu Ray DVDs.
