• Yes, we purchased this because our older Sony would not support Amazon. We have downloaded it with no problem. I did check the approved list before I purchased.

• Yes, Prime Video is an app available on the home page of the BluRay player. Be advised, though, the apps do not appear until the player is connected to WiFi and an update is performed. If you go looking for Prime Video (or any other app, like Pandora or Netflix) right out of the box, you will not find them.
