“Will this unit function as an external drive to a PC? I have a PC with no optical drives hooked up to a modern monitor/TV for streaming and playing iTunes. I am looking for an external drive to play DVDs, CD, and bluerays as an external drive.”

• Nope. This is just a video output player. You need to buy a blu-ray drive specifically for your PC. You can probably find a USB blu-ray player for relatively cheap if you look around.
