A:AnswerThis model, which is the 3rd generation model, does not support PLEX, however if you get the latest 4th generation model from Apple, that one does support PLEX.

A:AnswerHi, Monkey!
Unfortunately, the Disney+ app isn't supported on Sony Blu-ray Disc players, and the Hulu app is also no longer available on this unit. -Sam
A:AnswerYES it does......I just received my Blu-ray and played regular discs, they get upgraded to 1080P.
I already changed my Netflix service to Blu_ ray. Very pleased with the results so far.
A:AnswerI purchased two of these to upgrade a couple of DVD players that we have had for several years, I read the boxes but did not read any reviews on line. Once we got one of them hooked up at home I was disappointed in the apps that were part of the package. The HULU and VUDU apps no longer worked and had expired, I check to see if a firmware update was needed and it said it was not. I am returning the other one and will tolerate the other.
If you are buying this Blu-Ray player to use mainly for streaming I would looked for others, this one does not work well for that. This is my opinion of course, do your reviews and read what others have to say but I was disappointed. A better idea may be to get a Chrome cast device and stream from your cell phone or tablet if you have one.
A:AnswerHi Jeff,
The unit handles the streaming very well. It is true that using an Ethernet cable for streaming contents is better than using WiFi and that is because there would be less chance for signal interruption and signal drops compare to using a LAN connection. But either way, LAN or WiFi, you should be able to get a nice experience streaming videos using this Bluray player.

A:AnswerHi Andrecutie, yes, this Bluray player supports the playback of the file types you've mentioned. You may check this link to see the list of file types this Bluray player supports: https://docs.sony.com/release//specs/BDPS3700_mksp.pdf Thanks, -Mark
A:AnswerNo as long as you have it hooked into your HDMI on your TV and you have a audio cable running from your TV out to your receiver then you should be just fine you would not need any more equipment
