I have the Sony ICD-UX560 Digital Voice Recorder and I have been able to record a land-line telephone call using a wireless phone recording controller to connect the telephone to the recorder. The wireless phone recording controller that I used is the Radio Shack Wireless Phone Recording Controller (Cat. No 17-855) that I purchased in 2007. I don't know if this product is still available at Radio Shack, but you can see the description of the product and how it works at http://support.radioshack.com/support_phones/doc68/68345.pdf . You have to have a headphone/microphone headset to connect the telephone to the recording controller. The headset connects to the wireless phone recording controller and the controller connects to the telephone and the digital voice recorder.
