• It has mic but the sound quality is really poor. No one can hear me clearly

• You can talk some people including myself have a software glitch that can be addressed by turning off voice messages reading in the app. There will be a firmware update according to Sony

• They are for everything. The sound from the calls you can hear in both ears and the other end caller can hear you quite well. I use it for both, I walk 1/2 mile to work and from on the subway in Atlanta, and I call home on the way back to the train station in the evening. No one has complained they can't hear me at all, and any notifications can be read just by pressing the left button after they are announced.

• yes, it has a mic and works with Siri and Google Assist. But not very well.
