The battery is RATED for a 9 hour long battery. The good thing about these is that the charging case can charge them up once you replace them in the case. I would assume, that talking would be probably around 4 hours. The sound comes through both sides of the earbuds so it would run the battery down equally in that case.

Honestly, I don't know if a long talk time would affect the battery, I've used them for an hour at a time listening to music and always the battery is 100%...

If you put them back in the case after a call or in between, I'm sure you won't notice a power drop.
