Yes, there is an option where you can choose how much external noise would pass through.

Yes they definitely do! Make sure you have the app and you can adjust it many different ways. You can have ambient when you begin talking and music will shift off too, you can have ambient bleed through with music, you can have total noise cancelling or turn all active parts off. 

It’s a great feature of these And I really like that part about them. You can even program the contact buttons to turn it of and on like I do with the left bud. Works flawlessly. Well except when I have it on voice activated. It some times comes on too often and it can be irritating. I wish you could change the attenuation.

Yes is has ambient sound so that you can talk to people the second you start a conversation it automatically turns the feature on. These are very smart earbuds.

It also features Quick Attention Mode- This function turns down the music, call sounds, and ringtone to allow ambient sound to be easily heard. It is useful when you want to listen to train announcements, etc.

Another useful function that these headphones feature is the Speak-to-Chat, if Speak-to-Chat is enabled in advance, the Speak-to-Chat mode starts automatically when you talk to someone. The headset pauses or mutes the music being played and captures the voice of the person you are conversing with on the microphones to make it easier to hear. When the headset does not detect the wearer’s voice for a certain period of time, the Speak-to-Chat mode ends automatically.
