• To check the charge level, hold down the "phone" button for 3-4 seconds and the speaker will tell you the % it is charged.

• Hi Kawag, yes. The orange light indicator should turn off when the speaker is fully charged. We recommend taking the speaker to your nearest Sony dealer and have it checked. Thanks, -Mark
