• Hi Cindi, If you are referring to using this unit to the transmitter supplied with MDR-RF985RK, then the answer is no, it won't work. The said transmitter uses radio frequency for wireless connection while this Sony MDR-XB650BT only works with Bluetooth and NFC signals. -Jerome
