A:AnswerYes, you most likely will have to buy a new one. I recently replaced a similar aged washer/dryer and needed to buy a new stacking kit. Even if the old one still worked, safety wise it is probably a good idea to replace it regardless.

Please visit our site at http://www.lg.com/us/front-load-washers and you can review the following models: WM3180CW, WM3270CW, WM3370HWA, WM4370HWA, and WM3670HWA. You can stack the DLE5977W onto any of these using the LG 27" Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK1. If your still have your stacking kit, you may be able to use that. You can then check to see if Best Buy carries some of those models or all of them...^IFV
