Unfortunately "Yes" the monthly subscription is per Dish. The residential service cannot be "Paused" If you only needed service at one address at a time, a "Roam" package can be paused in one Month billing cycles with no Fee to pause, or reactivate.

If you will be at the vacation home for 2 months or less, you can use the same equipment with the Mobile-Roam plan. There are no contracts to sign, so you can cancel at any time and reactivate at any time.  Cameras and thermostats generally require a Static IP address or Port Forwarding option to work properly. Starlink does not have those options at this time.
