A:AnswerYes! I would advise that you take the opportunity to save yourself some money. This is one of the best purchases we’ve made regarding our home entertainment.
A:AnswerVery easy on your phone setup. We had ours streaming within 15 minutes of opening the box. I highly recommend!! It’s running 2 televisions, 2 PC’s, and 2 tablets & 4 phones without any issues whatsoever.
A:AnswerYou can actually mount the weatherproof WiFi/modem outside, should you prefer not to run wires through your walls. The 6E WiFi has a great range. You will have to have an 120v outlet to plug it into, and most newer homes have an outside outlet.
To clarify, the antenna comes with a 40’ cable that plugs into the combo WiFi/modem, then you’re wireless from there.
My house was already wired for cable, so I used that hole, tying a string around the end before pulling the cable out, then used that string to feed the Starlink antenna cable inside.
A:AnswerI remember seeing an outrageous fee to do this when I ordered mine.
Setup is child’s play, but I suppose mounting the antenna on the roof or side might be a problem for some. It will actually work just laying the antenna on the ground, but storm winds might be a problem. Mine is simply attached to a post on my back porch.
A:AnswerIt’s two different models; the portable mini is for camping or RVs. But really, the larger antenna is also portable as it’s lightweight.
No doubt the larger antenna can capture more satellites at a time (they are in constant motion) and likely not as affected by clouds/storms, which could reduce your speed until it passes. I still get around 270Mbps when it’s cloudy but no rain.
I think the monthly subscription price is somewhat different.
