Although, if you will need to remotely access your unit, you will require a hardwired connection to your network using the ethernet port on the back of the unit. QuestionSo since this is a wired system, there is no need for wi-fi, correct? We live in an area where wi-fi is sketchy. We can view footage on a monitor or on mobile via an app through internet connection?

- Answer You are correct as long as the system has a way to send you video. Either by creating a hotspot through your cellular service or having its own cellular internet card.
