Can you hear sound on this system? null

What comes in the Box you will not get any sound. It does have the ability to do so. You just need to install a microphone an speaker to due such.

It is setup to accept a microphone input but does not come with one.

No you cant hear people or talk to them

Right out of the box it does not. You can install a microphone to it then it will.
